![]() ![]() A lot of guys in the 02-06 forums are about ready to file a class action suit about the speedometers and odometers being off and thus affecting warranties. So take a great big breath and breath out slowly and come to the realization that Nissan fibbed once more!!! It's getting way beyond the funny stage. My car has all the relays and fuses for ABS, but no wheel sensors or control mechanism. So Nissan's either got a different idea of what projectors are or they're just flat full-o-s-! The window sticker on my 06 3.5SE 5 speed manual also said my car came with standard ABS. It says in the section for Premium package that HID Projectors were in that package. I am in the process of cleaning out my desk, and I came across the 07 Altima brochure they mailed me back just before the 07s were in the dealerships. May not be due to an outright lie, but at the very least a misprint. ![]() And I've also caught Nissan making untrue claims about options before in their stats, too. However I am correct about the 3rd gen Altimas. to order them so they can do a retro-install. If that's true about the availability of projectors, they better stock up, because a lot of the 07 owners are gonna be beating down the doors of the parts dept. Edit: Well I just read your link, and you may be right, but what Nissan calls projectors on the Altima may be BSing on their part. The color temperature is 7660 K and brightness is 338 Lux. The color temperature is 8732 K and the Lux is 191. The color temperature is 3080 K, and 255 Lux (the Lux is how bright the light is). Infinitis and Maximas and Zs and Gs, yes, Altimas, no. The light will be obstructed by three bulbs: The halogen bulb. Its just meant to be a comparison between the Halogen, HID, and LED. I'll check that last one out, but the last word I heard was no Projectors for Altimas as yet. This video is NOT meant to be an endorsement of altering the headlights in your vehicle. Unless Nissan has changed their policy, no Altima has projectors for Halogens or Xenons. By itself, one light is not all that big of a deal. A typical 12V 100-watt halogen light will draw slightly more than 8 amps. They all came with reflectors, and the differences in the housings were the way the reflectors were aimed to prevent glare also to prevent the housings from melting from the extra heat generated by the xenons. As expected, the higher-wattage lights draw more current too. The color temperature of halogen bulbs is around 3,200 degrees Kelvin, resulting in a warmer, more yellowish light than xenon light. Not so, otherwise every 3rd gen Altima that came with or was ordered with HID Xenons would be illegal. Halogen vs HID vs LED headlights bulb replacement for a car with reflector/projector headlight, which is best LED vs HID vs Halogen headlights And what a. There is also some controversy as to how much better the xenon bulbs light is, if at all, and different bulbs will have different effects.
